Every day that we are alive and able, we hope and wish that crimes, killings,
and shootings will not take place. We are all faced with injustice, prejudice,
and racism. How we respond to these problems affects us as a human being, and a
race.
My Language Arts class is reading “The Diary of Anne Frank,” and
studying the Holocaust. I would really appreciate it if you would send me your
opinion of World War II, a personal story about World War II, or a similar
story of prejudice and racism.
If you choose to reply, I would also like to
request a letter and a packet of seeds. Please enclose the seeds in your
letter.
The packet of seeds represents growth. The seeds will be planted
in the school’s greenhouse to memorialize the many stories of the Holocaust. I
would like to request an explanation of why you choose your particular packet
of seeds.
Thank you very much for publishing my letter and responding back
to me. Hopefully, everyone will realize how important this time in history was,
and never let this happen again.
