at the age of 92.
A cafeteria helper for Wilcox Elementary School, he was
born March 19, 1908, in Kukuiula, Kaua’i.
He is survived by one daughter;
Harriet Maruyama of O’ahu; two sons: Garth (Renee) Morimoto of O’ahu and
Michael (Vivian) Morimoto of California; one sister: Doris Liu of Kalaheo; 15
grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Private services were held. Arrangements were handled by
Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary.

Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i, died June 21, 2000, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age
of 79.
A retired crane operator for Lihu’e Plantation, he was born Sept.
14, 1920, in Kealia, Kaua’i.
He is survived by three sons: Leonard “Leo”
(Laola) Rapozo of Lihu’e, Stephen Rapozo of Las Vegas, and Gerald (Rose) Rapozo
of Wailua; two sisters: Daisy (Lucas) Rapozo of Lihu’e and Eva Strickland of
San Diego, Calif.; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; several
nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and family may call on Thursday, June
29, at Immaculate Conception Church from 10:30 a.m. where services will be
celebrated at1 p.m. Burial to follow at Kaua’i Memorial Gardens.
Casual
attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by

carpenter for Kaua’i Builders, he was born June 1, 1916, in Waimea.
He is
survived by his wife: Rose Tsuyako Ibara of Waimea; four sons: Richard
(Irmgaard) Ibara of Mountain View, Calif., Wilfred Ibara of Kekaha, Leslie
(Linda) Ibara of Waimea, and Thomas (Melanie) Ibara of Waimea; two daughters:
Patsy (Glenn) Nitta of Waimea, and Susan (Allen) Arquette of Waimea; 12
grandchildren; five brothers: Itsuo Ibara of Waimea, Katsuye Ibara, Hisao
Ibara, Mutsuo Ibara, and Akikazu Ibara, all of Honolulu; four sisters: Matsue
Horikawa and Shizue Harada, both of Honolulu, Mitsue Kimura of Waimea and Yaeko
Suehiro of Honolulu.
Private services were held by Rev. Ikeda of Waimea
