CPB/Arc golf tournament coming soon

LIHU`E—Clyde Nakaya, Business Banking Officer for Central Pacific Bank,

Kaua`i, presented a $2,000 check to Arc of Kaua`i Board member Brad Nagano for

the 16th Annual Central Pacific Bank/Arc of Kaua`i Golf Tournament that will

take place on July 16 at the Mokihana Golf Course at the Kaua`i

Lagoons.

“CPB is committed to support Kaua`i local non-profit

organizations. We selected the Arc of Kaua`i because of their outstanding

services to children and adults with developmental disabilities,” Nakaya

said.

Arc Board member Nagano said, “With CPB as the title sponsor for the

fourth consecutive year, the funds will greatly assist The Arc of Kaua`is fund

raising efforts. We are pleased and appreciative of CPB’s commitment and

leadership.”

For the third consecutive year, tournament play will be held

at the Mokihana Golf Course at Kaua`i Lagoons with an awards banquet to follow

at the Kaua`i Lagoons Terrace Restaurant.

The Golf Committee, for the

fourth year, was successful in getting the corporate support of Ameritech and

Wal Mart. Ameritech will be providing cash prizes for each par 3 winner, and

Wal Mart will be providing a 31-inch large screen television for the grand

prize drawing.

Tournament format for July 16 play is shotgun start,

two-man, best-ball with adjusted handicap. Registration is at 7:00 a.m. with

starting tee time at 8:00 a.m. The $90 fee per person includes green fees,

cart, and the awards luncheon.

Golf Tournament Committee members include Al Afos, Kris Fujita,

Duane Girard, Russell Maeda, Tsuka Murakami, Brad Nagano, Clyde Nakaya, Lon

Shimanuki, MJ Simao, Wayne Tanaka, and Shirley Tani.

All proceeds will

benefit The Arc of Kaua`i, a member of the Kaua`i United Way.
