latest winners during the HGEA sotball league that was played on July
20.
Kaua`i Fire Dept. 12, Nogi’s 0
David Bukoski had 4 RBI on 4
hits, a pair of triples, a double, and a single to lead the Kaua`i Fire
Department to a 12-0 shutout of Nogi’s.
The firemen tallied 21 hits in the
outing while pitcher Gregg Morishige limited Nogi’s to just 7 hits with Ronnie
Matsumura and Nogi’s pitcher Kyle Nakagawa each pairing hits to lead the losing
effort.
Mike Scoval was credited with driving in the winning run, Scoval
enjoying a 2-RBI, 2-singles night. Dodd Apao , John Blaylock, Alan Saiki, and
Frank Subee each paired singles, and Shawn Hosaka paired singles and whacked a
double.
Nakagawa, in the loss, allowed 21 hits, walked three, and struck
out one.
Hana Hou 11, Public Works 10
With bases loaded, Randy
Riggin drew a walk from Public Works’ pitcher Peter Ishibashi to score the
winning run in Hana Hou’s 11-10 win over Public Works.
Ishibashi, in the
loss, allowed 17 hits while walking 3. Don Ouderkirk picked up the win for
Hana Hou, allowing 15 Public Works hits.
Richard Rosa led the big bats for
Hana Hou with 3 RBI on a triple and a single. Todd Yamase picked up an RBI on
three singles, Jon Takamura had an RBI on a pair of singles, Brenn Nakaahiki
added another RBI on a triple and a single, and Jon Bonechita ended the night
with a pair of singles.
Gorden Tamura blasted 4 RBI across the plate on a
double and a single to pace Public Works with Lance Akama adding a pair of RBI
on a triple and three singles. Ishibashi, the pitcher, had a pair of RBI on a
triple and a single with Steven Perreira ending with an RBI on a pair of
singles. Cory Adachi paired singles in the outing.
Kathleen Glass 9,
Na Kolohe 1
An RBI double by Wendall Nonaka gave Kathleen Glass their 9-1
win over Na Kolohe as Kathleen Glass picked up 11 hits with 7 RBI in the
win.
Vince Nitta banged a 3-RBI triple for Kathleen, Lance Nakata ended the
night with 2 RBI on a single, and John Shishido had an RBI on three singles in
the win. Kelly Robinson and Davis Oshiro paired singles and Mel Lorenzo ended
the night with a double.
Norman Holt, Jr. led Na Kolohe with an RBI single
with Wayne Ayudan ending with a single and a double.
Garrett Agena picked
up the win allowing four hits and walking two while Holt, Jr. suffered the loss
allowing 11 hits and striking out one.
