winners in the HGEA softball games played on July 18.

Department 3, Public Works 0
Alan Saiki’s sacrifice fly to leftfield drove
in the winning run for the Kaua`i Fire Department who picked up their win
behind the pitching of Gregg Morishige who allowed 5 hits, one walk, and struck
out one.
Peter Ishibashi suffered the loss for Public Works, walking three
firemen, and striking out none.
John Blaylock came up with a single and a
double to lead the fire department’s hitting with Jason Pablo adding a pair of
singles behind the plate.
Hana Hou 4, Na Kolohe 2
Hana Hou came up with
14 hits in their 4-2 win over Na Kolohe who picked up 5 hits to drive their 2
runs across the plate.
Don Ouderkirk went the distance for Hana Hou in the
win, allowing five hits, walking none, and striking out none while Norman Holt,
Jr. suffered the loss, allowing 14 hits, and walking one.
John Ruiz’s RBI
nailed down the victory for Hana Hou with Ouderkirk adding to the hitting with
a single and a double. Paris Resinto stuck a pair of singles and a double for
Hana Hou.
Hoku Cup Choy led Na Kolohe’s hitting with an RBI
single.
Custom Limo 6, Nogi’s 2
Custom Limo came up with 14 hits in
their 6-2 win over Nogi’s who slugged out 11 hits in the loss.
Blackie
Viquelia came up with the win for Custom Limo, allowing 11 hits and striking
out one while Kyle Nakagawa suffered the loss on 14 hits, and walking
two.
Steven Kaui, ending the day with a 2-RBI single picked up the win
behind the plate with Wesley Kaui adding a pair of singles, along with Steven
Carvalho. Ron Dela Cruz paired singles and added a double in the
outing.
Bryce Nakamura, Jerry Refamonte, and Marvin Mikasa all paired
singles for Nogi’s.
