Herman Robert MeyersHerman Robert (Bob) Meyers of Kalaheo, Kaua’i died

Aug. 10, 2000, in Washington D.C., at the age of 48.

Born in Honolulu, HI,

he is survived by his mother, Jaynealece Mokihana Meyers, sisters Roberta

(Robert) Butcher, and Audrey (Donald Jr.) Kaopuiki; brother: Ian (Donna)

Meyers; five nieces, two nephews and several grandnieces and nephews.

A

graduate of Kamehameha Schools in 1969, he earned a BS degree in Business from

the University of Phoenix. He was in the Air Force, Special Services division

and entertained throughout Southeast Asia and all over the world.

A

teacher, performer and animal lover, he owned many species of birds and fish.

He also owned many doves, which he used in numerous weddings. He was the owner

of “Doves of Aloha.” He was also the grand champion of Hawaii Stars in 1998 and

appeared in numerous musical productions on Kaua’i and O’ahu and composed,

directed and acted in many musical productions in the state and on the

mainland. He was a candidate for Kaua’i County Council.

Memorial services

will be held on Kaua’i on Saturday, Sept. 2, at the Kalaheo Missionary Church

at 7 p.m. with visitation at 6 p.m. The service on O’ahu will be at the

Kamehameha Schools Chapel on Sept. 22, at 5:30 p.m., visitations from 4 p.m. to

5 p.m Aloha attire is suggested and that flowers be omitted.

Ashes will be

scattered later in a private ceremony.

Reynolds Horswill

Reynolds

David “Buddy” Horswill, of Kekaha, Kauai, died at home on Aug. 24,

2000, at the age of 78.

Born in Lihu’e, Kaua’i on Dec. 12, 1921, he was a

professional tile setter for 30 years.

He is survived by: two sons:

Reynolds “Skip” (Harriet) Horswill and Raynold “Scott”

Horswill of Kailua, O’ahu; four daughters: Renee “Sandy” (Anthony)

Aguiar of Kekaha, Kauai, Rhonda Thompson of Kaneohe, O’ahu, Jasmine Ehret of

Elks Grove, Calif., Robin (Kai) Kalama of Kailua, O’ahu; 21 grandchildren;

eight great-grandchildren, brother: Arthur (Mitzi) Horswill of Maui; numerous

nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service has been scheduled at 3 p.m.

on Saturday, Sept. 9, at the O’ahu Cemetery. Family request that flowers be

omitted.

Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary,

Ltd.

Samson Ragsac

Samson Mejia Ragsac of Kapa’a died Aug. 27,

2000, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, at the age of 32.

A supervisor for

Hawai’i Care Cleaning at Princeville, he was born May 21, 1968, in the

Philippines.

He is survived by two daughters: Ashley Ragsac and Stanna

Ragsac, both of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sons: Chyson Ragsac of Las Vegas, Nev.,

and Chaston Ragsac, of Wailua; his companion: Tialyn Keawe of Wailua; parents:

Primo and Anita Ragsac , Sr. of Wailua; three sisters: Editha Ramos of Wailua

and Elizabeth Abalos of Las Vegas, and Bernadette (Abraham) Torres of Wailua;

two brothers: Primo (Donna) Ragsac of Lihu’e and Orlando (Amyslezak) Torres of

Wailua; numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and friends.

Visitation is

scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 7, at Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary Chapel from 6

p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation is again scheduled for Friday, Sept. 8, at the Kapa’a

Missionary Church from 8:30 a.m. where services will be celebrated at 9:30 p.m.

Burial to follow at the Kaua’i Memorial Gardens in Lihu’e.

Aloha attire is

suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary.
