Kaua’i County will seek more federal funds toward the completion of the Lydgate Park bike and pedestrian path project.
The County Council last Thursday authorized county engineer Cesar Portugal to apply for, receive and spend an additional $400,000 in federal money on for the project.
The remaining $100,000 required for the project will be covered by an in-kind match from volunteer labor, donated materials, support from the county and funds being raised by the Friends of Kamalani Committee.
The project is currently in its planning phase.
