Poipu Bay Golf Course hosted the Drive, Chip & Putt Junior Golf Skills Competition Thursday. The event, put on by The Golf Channel, was held at three locations throughout the state.
At the Kaua’i event there were 82 participants ages 7-12 who learned about the game of golf and then were given a chance to compete for a spot in the state competition on Oahu Saturday.
Eighteen prizes were awarded in each age group — one to each of the top five in driving, chipping and putting, as well as the top three rankings for the best combined performance.
Here were the top three finishers in each age group. Each will have a chance to qualify for the national finals in Orlando in November.
