Samuel, Harris, Wolcott named at Marriott

David “Cory” Samuel has been named systems manager at the Kaua’i Marriott Resort & Beach Club in Lihu’e, one of three recent additions to the resort’s management team.

Vicki Hargis has been named human resource manager for both the Kaua’i Marriott and Marriott’s Waiohai Beach Club, and Lisa Wolcott has been named housekeeping supervisor at Kaua’i Marriott.

In his new position, Samuel is responsible for all network and technology systems, as well as telecommunications planning and decision-making. Most recently, he was systems manager at Marriott Rivercenter, Riverwalk and Worldwide Reservations Center in San Antonio, Texas. A native of El Paso, Texas and a Microsoft Certified Professional in multiple server operation systems, Samuel also held dual positions as network administrator at Billy Cox & Associates and Brewer-Pierce Capital LLC (Limited Liability Company) in Houston, Texas. He attended the University of Texas.

Hargis manages the personnel functions for 53 Marriott Vacation Club International associates, and previously was director of human resource services at the Marriott Midwest regional office in Rosemont, Ill., and at the Renaissance Oak Brook Hotel in Oak Brook, Ill. Born and raised in St. Louis, Mo., she is a member of the Vocational Rehabilitation Business Advisory Council and Society for Human Resource Management.

Wolcott is responsible for overseeing 106 associates in the housekeeping department, and ensuring the quality and cleanliness of 356 guest rooms. Most recently, she was assistant executive housekeeper at the Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort-Kaua’i in Wailua. Born and raised in Lake Elsinore, Calif., she holds a bachelor’s degree in professional studies from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, and lives in Kapa’a with husband Clayton and daughter Stephanie.
