KALAHEO – Bret Netzer, Maikai Laureta, Jonathan Ganir and Malia Saiki were on top of their respective age divisions in the 3-Club tournament Sunday at Kukuiolono Golf Course in Kalaheo.
The tournament, which limited Kaua’i’s junior golfers to just three clubs for the nine hole course, was led overall by Brett Netzer, who shot a 41, four strokes better than second place finisher Mason Koetje in the 16s division. Koetje finished with a 45. Stephen Peeren was third in the bracket with a 48 and Brandon Hirota was fourth with a 49.
Laureta led the 14s with a 42. He took the win over Jet Levinthol and Jordan Cox, who each finished with a 42 as well. Nikko Tacsiat took fourth with a 43 and Chad Nonaka had a 44.
In the 14s “B Flight,” Travis Toguchi led the pack with a 42. Markland Soliva and Scott Lopez followed with 43s, and Terra Bell (48) and Noel Torres (50) rounded out the division.
In the 14s “C Flight,” Thad Fuji took first with a 50 and Tyruss Lum followed with a 53.
Ganir shot a 44 to win the 12s division. He edged Grant Paiste and Byron Rualizo, who each shot a 45, and Cory Oride (46), Wiley Yoshioka (49) and Micah Yosioka (52) followed.
Troy Jacintho won the 12s “B Flight.” He shot a 49, four strokes better than Hoku Costa, who followed with a 53. Kyle Wong took third with a 55 and Kai Jordan took fourth with a 56. Taylor Bell (57), Royce Ramos (69) and Ryan Wong (71) followed.
Saiki shot a 53 to lead the 10s age division. Kelli Oride followed with a 54, and Kaimana Rivera (67) and Rae-Lyn Morikawa (70) were third and fourth.
Nathan Wong won the 10s “B Flight) with a 59. Laakea Warren was second with a 62, Levi Miyashiro third with a 66 and Keilen Shigematsu was fourth with an 82.
