Bun Yoshimori
Bun Yoshimori of Koloa, Kauai, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Oct. 22, 2002 at the age of 104.
Born in Hiroshima, Japan on June 29, 1898 she was a Homemaker.
She is survived by three sons, Hideto Yoshimori, Sandy (Alice) Yoshimori and Tamo (Jane) Yoshimori all of Koloa, Kauai; three daughters, Edith Fumie Yamasaki of Honolulu, Oahu, Tomoe (Kensei) Higa of Koloa, Kauai and Marjory (Stan) Kinoshita of Hilo, Hawaii; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brother, Raiji Kobayashi of Hiroshima, Japan.
A memorial service has been scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002 at the Garden Island Mortuary chapel; service will be officiated by Rev. Sakamoto. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.

Ronald “Ron” Farrar of Kapaa, Kauai, died on Oct. 5, 2002 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 74.
Born in Lafayette, Indiana, on Sept. 22, 1928, he was a pilot in the Navy. He lived in Kapaa 8 years and worked for H&R Block and was a volunteer at the National Tropical Botanical Gardens.
He is survived by his wife Nancy of Kapaa, Kauai; one son: Kevin N. Farrar of San Diego, CA; one daughter: Karen E. Herndon of Seattle, WA. 3 grand-daughters: Erika, Sabrina & Olivia Herndon of Seattle. Aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews.
No service is planned. A private scattering of the ashes will be held at a later date.
Loretta Duterte
Loretta “Rita” Duterte of Hanamaulu, Kauai, died at St. Francis Hospital, on Oct. 23, 2002 at the age of 70.
Born in Oahu, Hawaii, on June 14, 1932, she was a housekeeper.
She is preceded in death by her husband Pedro Duterte, Sr., and son Serafine Duterte. She is survived by six children: Pedro (Cindy) Duterte, Jr.; Norman Duterte; Robert (Vicky) Duterte; Lorry (Jenelle) Duterte; Jerilyn (Nick) Agor; Alan (Vanessa) Duterte; one brother: Joseph Delostrico; three sisters: Sally Garcia; Yolanda Delostrico; Shirly (Tony) Parraga; 14 grandchildren: Shanamae (Joel) Andres, Chelsey Bergonia, Denise Bergonia, Sarah Duterte, Tamara Duterte, Jaime Duterte, Haunani Duterte, Ashley Duterte, Robert Duterte, Christine Bumalag, Brandy Duterte, Lauryn Duterte, and Alan James Duterte; and 3 great-grandchildren: William Andres, Ayden Bernardino and Leinoe Padilla; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at the Immaculate Conception Church from 9 a.m. where mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. by Father Paul. Inurnment to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe. Casual attire is suggested.
