Tacsiat chalked up 13 points with Lactaotao adding 10 points in the victory.
Hino Kanahele racked up nine of his game-total 11 points to lead the Second to None effort. In other action, Kaumakani Supersonics 35, Na Wahine 29
Aiko Grande, playing the outside and inside, came up with a game-high 17 points to lead the Supersonics to a 35-29 victory over Na Wahine who was led by Christina Banach’s eight points.
Ashlyn Ubongen launched a 3-point buzzer bomb from 11 o’clock to put Na Wahine on top 13-10 at the half after Kaumakani battled back from a 4-point first quarter deficit with Grande leading the second quarter charge on a pair of field goals sparked by the hustle of guard Sera Pascual who generated numerous turnovers.
Hampered by the height of Banach who dominated the lane on both ends of the court, the scrappy Supersonics never let up, and took advantage of an early foul-out by Na Wahine’s Tiffany Ikeda-Simao with over three minutes left in the game to ice the victory from the free throw line.
Lihue On Fire 48, Westside Hornets 30
Lihue On Fire exploded for a 27-14 second half to keep their undefeated standing clean as they wrapped up a 48-30 victory behind Justin Ramos’ 16 points.
Matt Koyama’s inside performance yielded six of his seven-point showing in the second half to aid On Fire’s charge.
Clareson Torres’ casual shooting style notched an equalizing 16 points for the Hornets who succumbed to Lihue’s overpowering height factor and quick defense that effectively shut down the Westsiders.
Torres’ pair of treys and pair of field goals paced the Hornets’ chase in the first half including outshooting Lihue 9-7 in the second quarter where Torres bombed his pair from beyond the 3-point stripe.
Wailua 48, Kalaheo Pistons 34
Chavis Kupihea bombed eight of his game-high 13 points in the second quarter to lead Wailua to a 48-34 showing over a tenacious Kalaheo Pistons squad who were led by Anson Acain, Devon Tavana, and Reggie Vigilia who combined for 31 points.
Brandon Chong came alive for Wailua in the second half, notching three critical fourth quarter buckets for his game-total eight points with Halem Medina’s performance on the inside yielding an additional six second-half points.
