Pahio gave Hard Knocks a huge loss Tuesday night in County over-35 softball at Isenberg Field, ending the game in the fifth inning with a score of 14-1.
Pahio pitcher Wayne Laranio drove in the game’s last run in the fourth inning.
Rich Brian and Mike Aschenbrenner each knocked out three RBIs for Pahio, Brian with a single and a homerun in the game and Aschenbrenner finishing out with three singles. Jon Kahaunaele and Destry Carvalho each had two RBIs, Kahaunaele with two singles and a double, and Carvalho grabbing two singles and a triple. Rod Ochoa ended the night with a single and a triple, Jay Kahaunaele finished with two singles.
Hard Knocks’ Leonard Vegas got two singles, the sole leader for the team.
Laranio allowed Hard Knocks just five from the mound on no walks and no strikeouts. Dave Onodera allowed the Pahio team 20 hits with no walks and no strikeouts.
Braddahs 9, Young Blood 8
The Braddahs shut out Young Blood with three back-to-back scoreless innings, but both teams came up with 13 hits at the end of the battle. Kevin Medeiros drove in the game’s last run in the sixth, ending the night with three singles for three RBIs in the Braddahs’ 9-8 win.
Derek Rapozo and Braddahs pitcher Hank Ibia each knocked out two singles good for two RBIs while other leaders for the Braddahs were Bobby Texeira and Sarge Palaby also having two singles apiece.
Young Blood’s Rory Rayno knocked out three RBI on one homerun and a single, Darrell Borero hit three singles one good for a RBI; Mario Longboy got two singles for one RBI, and Hoku Cup Choy slammed a single and triple for two RBIs.
Ibia allowed Young Blood 13 hits and one walk in the win; while Young Blood pitcher Sandy Pacheco took the loss though also allowing 13 hits and a walk.
Hana Hou 13, Universal Delivery 4
Brenn Nakaahiki scored the winning run in the Hana Hou/Universal Del matchup, ending it at 13-4.
Nakaahiki’s RBI was his only hit of the game in the sixth inning following Hana Hou’s huge fifth inning in which 10 runs were scored.
Kaulana Manoi closed out with two singles; Dean Pigao took home two RBIs; Andy Pugan finished the night with two singles and one RBI.
Hana Hou pitcher Paris Resinto drove in two RBI on two singles and a homer, and from the mound allowed nine hits and three walks. Sharing the pitching duties was Brenn Nakaahiki, who allowed one hit on no walks and no strikeouts.
For Universal Delivery, John Shishido hit two singles; Mel Yamase three singles and Garrett Agena with two one-baggers in the 13-4 loss. Universal pitcher Steven Mardonado took the loss, allowing 12 hits and three walks; while Garrett Agena, sharing pitching duty, allowed the Hana Hou no hits or walks.
