The Kawaihau Community major’s all-stars little league squad advanced to the championship game by beating the Kaneohe Nationals on Tuesday, 12-3. Leading the all-stars at the plate were Braden Rapozo (2 singles, 3-run homerun, 3 RBI), Reiji Butac (2 singles), BJ Aiwohi (2 singles, 2 RBI), Palani Mawae (1 single, 1 RBI), Mikey Cremer (1 single), Roger Taniguchi-Fu (1 double, 3-run homerun), Aaron Belmonte (2 singles, 1 RBI). On the mound, Aaron Belmonte pitched 5 stellar innings and struck out two. Tanner Shigeta came in for relief and pitched the remaining two innings, striking out two. The Kawaihau majors all-stars will have to beat Kailua twice to win the championship. The all-stars played Kailua yesterday and results will be in Friday’s edition of The Garden Island.
