At the Kaua‘i Economic Opportunity organization’s “Family Fun Night” students were honored for completing the Best Practice Life-Skills Series which teaches them about Drug and Alcohol abuse prevention and other valuable skills.
Students participating included Andrew Alapa‘i, Kailee Andrade, Raelyn Bonilla, Jason Cabot, Jonathan Cabot, Lianne Cacal, Christine Brauel, Shaleah-Rodero Workman, Daphne Sanchez, Stacie Serquina, C.J. Wedemeyer and Chelsea Hill.
The KEO After-School Program students participated in numerous activities throughout the session such as Adopt-a- Highway, outrigger canoeing and took field trips around the island. They also received tutoring for homework, did arts and crafts, and played games.
The KEO After-School Program is sponsored by Kaua‘i Economic Opportunity, Inc., Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School, Kaiola Canoe Club, Ho‘ike Kaua‘i Community Television, Save Our Seas, and the Hawai‘i State Department of Health Alcohol & Drug Abuse Division.
