Jordon Dizon made the cut! That was the message of the week from several people around town…but, check it out for yourself at www.dailycamera.com. And, if you need a source for all these things, mahalo to Officer Darla (Jordon’s mom!),
Jordon Dizon made the cut! That was the message of the week from several people around town…but, check it out for yourself at www.dailycamera.com. And, if you need a source for all these things, mahalo to Officer Darla (Jordon’s mom!), Taryn (Jordon’s sister), and Waimea HS AD James Kitamura! Congratulations, Jordon! And, since we’re on the realm of seeing how our Kaua‘i performers are doing using the now technology, Francine Oligo is still flying high over the performance of her son Kaliko who plays centerfield for the Ozark Ducks out in Springfield, Missouri. You can check out his numbers at www.ducksprobaseball.com (and, if you can get the ‘merchandise’ link to work, let me know). The newspapers up there did a story on Kaliko recently, calling him “The Flyin’ Hawaiian.” Shauna Tachibana also made the cut (thanks to her parents who are now getting ready to head out for a mainland visit) at Pacific Lutheran in Tacoma, Washington. She’ll be playing soccer! Lanikai Kanahele’s dad was at last Saturday’s football game (mahalo to Kei Shiba of JTB for the heads-up on Kwansei Gakuin who played a controlled scrimmage against Kapa‘a) and said Lanikai’s loving his Western Montana University experience so far with Gary Mata, and Aren Racca…we’ll get you their website, shortly. And, back to Jordon, Therese Jasper and Taryn Dizon both are thrilled that Colorado University is interested in Kaua‘i HS signal caller, Kekoa Crowell. Have you gotten your tickets for the Annual Lihu‘e United Church’s Labor Day breakfast? Don’t dally too long – it might get sold out!
