Divisions include Menehune 11-and-under, Boys 12-14, Junior Men 15-17, Open Men 18-24, G.I.B 4-A Open, Girls 17-and-under, Bodyboarding Boys 14-and-under and Juniors 15-17.
Entry forms are available at all island surf shops. The fee is $20 for H.S.F. members and $30 for non-members. The entry fee must be mailed by Friday, January 20 to: H.S.F. Kaua‘i, Box 1194, Waimea, HI 96796. You can also download a form at www.hsfkauai.com.
The start time for the contest is at 7:45 a.m. for the Bodyboarding boys.

G.I.B winners get entry to Excel Pro
The Garden Island Brotherhood (G.I.B) 4-A contest, the only real continuing pro-am, is hotly contested this year, with Ruben Balmores leading the way.
The top four surfers at the end of the five contests have a chance to surf in the Excel Pro competition at Sunset Beach in October.
The Excel Pro is a qualifier for the Triple Crown of Surfing, held annually in Hawai‘i at the end of the season.
Following Balmores (171 points) are two up-and-coming north shore surfers in Alex Smith (165.61 points) and Dylan Melamed (145.80 points). Titus Kanehe is in the final qualifying spot with 143.15 points and is followed by Ke‘ale Chung (100.50 points) and Dustin Barca (100 points).
Other top performers so far this season include Erika Steiner (Girls 17-and-under and Girls longboard 17-and-under), Dylan Goodale (Boys 12-14), Koa Smith (Menehune 11-and-under), Tyler Newton (Junior Men 15-17), Nathan Rex (Open Men 18-24), Travis Smith (Junior Bodyboarding 15-17 and Boys Bodyboarding 14-and-under), Russell Lewis (Senior Men 35-and-over).
The next contest is scheduled for March 4-5 at Kealia Beach Break.
