Michele Rundgren is guest emcee at the Save Our Seas (SOS) Mardi Gras costume ball Saturday beginning at 6 p.m. at Tahiti Nui in Hanalei, SOS leaders said in a press release.
She just might get up and jam with one of the groups of musicians scheduled to appear, or just keep members of the crowd in stitches with her unique brand of stand-up comedy.
With her, you just never know.
Cajun plate dinners will be served from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., for $15 per person, and hula dancing is first up on the entertainment agenda, at 6 p.m.
Brianna Lee & the Twin Tones take the stage at 7 p.m., followed by a fashion show at 7:30 p.m., and the Gypsy Rose Belly Dance Troupe at 8 p.m.
The show is open to those of all ages from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. After 9 p.m., only those 21 and older will be allowed to remain inside.
Robert Sequoia and Carlos Cardona offer classical guitar tunes from 9 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Freshy takes over from 10 p.m. until closing.
Freshy is a dance-band conglomeration led by Eddy Free, holder of an Emmy award he shares with Toni Childs and David Ricketts for their composition “Because You’re Beautiful.”
The effort won the 2004 Emmy Award for Outstanding Music and Lyrics in a Documentary, for the Lifetime program “V-Day, Until the Violence Stops.”
