- Toyota and Honda had substantially lower percentages of complaints compared to market share in the 2005 lemon-law survey conducted by officials with the state Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs. Toyota had a market share of 27.3 percent, and received just five complaints, or 6.3 percent of all complaints received. Honda, with 12.1 percent of market share, had seven complaints, or 8.8 percent of all complaints received. DaimlerChrysler had a market share of 7.8 percent, and received 12 complaints, or 15 percent of all complaints, while Kia had 1.8 percent of the market share, and 7.5 percent of complaints received (six). There were 80 total complaints.
