In recognition of March as National Craft Month, the crafty librarians at Lihu‘e Public Library have unveiled a varied selection of books on handmade arts and crafts of all kinds.
The shelves are fully stocked with books on painting, carving, sewing, stained glass, candle-making, basketry, and photography.
Also in stock are home-decorating books on floors, furnishings, window-treatments, cabinets and lighting, and books on arts and crafts such as Hawaiian lei, Celtic cross-stitching, and Japanese sumi-e.
In working towards the digital age, the librarians recommend checking out the latest books on basic downloading, digital printing, and creating CDs or DVDs.
