The men’s and women’s pro tours head to different spots in April, with the men heading to Bells Beach, Australia and the women surfing on down to Fiji.
Kaua‘i’s Rochelle Ballard and Keala Kennelly will be competing in the Roxy Pro from April 22-29. After one event, Ballard is tied for third in the world rankings and Kennelly is tied for eighth.
In the meantime, Kaua‘i’s Andy Irons remains tied for fifth place after the first contest.
Younger brother Bruce is tied for 17th place.
Rookie Roy Powers is also tied for 17th place along with Irons.
Powers and the Irons brothers compete in the Rip Curl Pro, which runs from April 11-21.
