Pitch, Hit and Run held on March 18
The Kaua’i Police Activities League (K-PAL) and the Lihu’e Baseball League will be hosting the third annual Pitch, Hit and Run competition on March 18.
Boys and girls aged between 7 and 14 years old are welcome to the free event at the Lihu’e Baseball Park’s Main Diamond between 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Early registration will take place starting at 8 a.m.
Competitors must have a copy of their birth certificate and a parent’s signature to enable them to be part of the competition.

Gunter, Almeida tops in Kukuiolono
Hans Gunter was closest to the hole at No. 3 as well as netting a 69 to top the “A” Flight in the Kukuiolono Golf Club outing at the Mokihana Golf Course on Feb. 18.
Dean Almeida carded a 74 to lead the “B” flight over Jack Cobb (77) and Mel Kauhi (82).
Following Gunter in the “A” Flight were Bruce Jacinto (72) who was one better than Mike Murrary (73).
Murray was also closest to the hole on No. 8, and Cobb walked off with two closest to the hole honors at No. 11 and No. 15.
