The kickoff reception for the latest Garden Island Arts Council (GIAC) art exhibit, “‘Aina,” will be tomorrow in the Kukui Grove Center exhibition space, next to the Cold Stone Creamery, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The new exhibition space has been open all week, but the artists and guests will hold the reception tomorrow.
The opening reception, with a fashion show, was originally scheduled for last week, but was postponed due to harsh weather conditions that caused water damage to the space’s ceiling tiles.
The fashion show portion of the reception has been canceled. The visiting judge, designer Amos Kotomori, was scheduled to be here last week, but cannot attend the reception tomorrow. All are still welcome to dress up in ‘aina-themed outfits, show organizers said.
