In Wednesday’s sports section (B1), the KIF girls basketball article mentioned the wrong sister topping the JV Red Raider score books. It should’ve noted that Amanda Mayer netted a team-high six points, instead of her younger sister, Sierra.
Also, the West Kaua‘i Rotary Track Meet scheduled for today at 4 p.m. at Vidinha Stadium is in its 59th Annual. In Wednesday’s sports section (B1), the track and field article incorrectly noted that it’s nearing its 40th year.
Nawiliwili Yacht Club begins rum races today
Nawiliwili Yacht Club’s Rum Series begins today. The first race of the six-race series will begin at 5 p.m. at Nawiliwili Harbor. The public is invited to view the race from the harbor jetty, as well as to attend the gathering at the Nawiliwili Yacht Club clubhouse immediately following the race. There will be a grill available for “grill your own food” and beverages for a small donation. Team roping continues in Po‘ipu
The second American Cowboy Team Roping Association (AC-TRA) event has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 27 at 10 a.m. at CJM Country Stables in Po‘ipu.
