Harada speaks at hongwanji
The Rev. Marvin Harada, of the Orange County Buddhist Church, here to conduct a Nembutsu seminar and retreat, speaks during the family dharma service tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. in the Lihue Hongwanji Mission social hall on Kuhio Highway in Kapaia.
All are welcome at the service.
Harada continues the seminar and retreat schedule with lectures at 9:15 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. today at the mission, and tomorrow at 10:45 a.m.
There is a fee for attending the lectures.

Several churches join for service
Official with the United Christian Fellowship of Kauai and fellow churches will be hosting their resurrection service at the Lydgate Park large pavilion at 6 a.m. tomorrow, Easter Sunday.
There will be special singing, signing, Lord’s communion, anointed praise and worship, and a special message by Pastor Samuel Mudaliar of the Kapaa Assembly of God.
A free continental breakfast will follow.
All are invited to be a part of this fellowship and praise event.
Participating churches include Full Gospel Temple, Garden Island Church of God, God Can Christian Center, His Highest Praise, Island Worship Center, Jesus Saves Mission, Kapaa Assembly of God, Kilauea New Hope and Way of Salvation.

‘Arsenic’ auditions are Monday
Kauai Community Players is holding auditions for “Arsenic and Old Lace” Monday from 5:15 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Kauai Alliance for the Performing Arts building in Puhi.
Actors of college age and older are welcome to audition, KCP officials said in a press release.
Call backs are Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Afternoon tea Sunday at Princeville
An afternoon tea with Papa Laua‘e O Makana, kumu hula Naomi Yokotake, musician Pancho Graham and others is tomorrow from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the living room lobby of the Princeville Resort.
It is part of the Princeville Resort Exceptional Concert Series, resort officials said in a press release.
The special afternoon of hula, mele and music is $21 per person, and includes a selection of brewed teas, sandwiches and tea pastries.
