State Department of Transportation Highways Division officials in a press release said Kuhio Highway between Hanama‘ulu and Wailua will be down to one lane in each direction weekdays this week from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Drainage-cleaning work is going on during these times, between the entrance to Wailua Golf Course and the Kauai Community Correctional Center, and the dirt road
between the Wailua Golf Course and the motocross track, not far from the entrance to the Kauai Beach Hotel & Resort.
Motorists are advised to use caution while driving through the work area, and to allow for extra travel time during the work hours.
