Apparently I’m not the only one out of the 19 million people who reportedly watched and actually lost interest in the season finale of “Lost.” I was completely disappointed with it.
I checked out ABC’s Web site yesterday morning to view fans’ reactions to the finale and found that so many others felt the same way I did about it.
After the first hour of recaps, I was anxious to get to the two-hour finale.
I loved the return and back history of Desmond. I thought that was a neat little twist.
Since the show’s beginning, I loved how the stories intertwined with each other, but I’m thinking now that it’s just too much.
There are too many of them. Too many details to remember, and too many things going on.
And I didn’t buy the whole “Desmond caused the plane to crash just because he didn’t press the button,” argument.
Why didn’t they know about the electromagnetism earlier?
After Michael brought Jack, Kate, Sawyer and Hurley to “The Others,” were they really just going to let him, Walt and Hurley go?
So what happened to Eko and Locke? Why was Charlie so nonchalant about the whole ordeal? Was it an explosion? And if so, why didn’t Charlie go back to check on them?
Are we going to get to know more about Libby, even though she’s already been killed off in the show?
The finale ended with a pair of guys I believe to be scientists informing Penny that they’ve “found him.” Or was it “them?”
I’m not quite sure, and at this point I don’t really care. Yes, I know that it’s a well-written show, but it’s getting to be too much for me. “X-Files” and “Twin Peaks” were easier to follow.
I found myself flipping back and forth to Fox’s “American Idol” and not caring if I missed a minute of “Lost.” I’ve tried to watch it because it’s shot in Hawai‘i and I’ve met about half of the cast. They’re all really cool, but I’m not quite sure if I’ll be marking my calendar for season three’s opener.
