What a treat! The day before Super Bowl and Bill Troutman was hard at work with Mason Chock, Tim Bynum and all those Leadership Kaua‘i folks in Kapa‘a.
Danny Carvalho had the Lihu‘e A’s out for their double-header … got to see Ernie Domingo and Peter Rayno chatting with Tayni Hashimoto and the Caberto twins Kyra and Caitlin (how come Aunty ‘Net nevah tell us about those girls?). That was real ol’ style and everyone had fun … if John Ochoco had his cameras, he would’ve taken photos of the event.
Meanwhile, Uncle John Kaneholani had his ukulele kids from Hanalei School performing at the Eastside Family Summit … congratulations to Bridget Arume and her committee on another successful event! John said following their performance, he was due at the Kapa‘a High School basketball boys’ cookout at the gym.
Ella Arume had Hanalei Gomes in tow when they both arrived following the KIF Regatta at Wailua. Greg Gonsalves was going to check out the family summit following the regatta, too.
Congratulations to Bill Holtzman and all those Waimea High School alumni for making the trip out west to present grants to Bill Arakaki and the Menehune as well as Ori Skomoroch and the KVMH Foundation. The event was worthy enough that Dickie Chang and Bruce Smalling even made the trek west.
‘Nuff said … gotta see if Dan Spriggs will be with the Campbell Brothers when they perform for the Kapa‘a El students.
