Kaua‘i police arrested two men following a Friday night fracas on the lawn of the Historic County Building.
Orlan C. Tesch, 53, of Lihu‘e was arrested for second degree attempted murder and Kasey Beno, 30, of Kapa‘a was arrested for second degree assault.
Both men are being held at the Kaua‘i Police Department cellblock unable to post bail. Tesch’s bail was set at $100,000 and the bail amount for Beno was $5,000.
According to police, a fight between the two men had broken out in front of the Historic County Building and during the struggle, Tesch reportedly stabbed Beno.
Both men were transported to Wilcox Hospital, where they were treated for injuries.
After being released from the hospital later that night, Tesch was taken into police custody.
Beno spent the night in the hospital for observation. Upon his release yesterday, Beno was also taken into custody.
