Bernard Carvalho was one nervous dad Monday, and he carried that to Waimea Tuesday night where daughter Brittney played well, but it was Waimea’s night.
Coaches Angela Lopez and Sandi Nadatani had their girls out doing scouting work in anticipation of their big game that was played on OC16 last night.
Anahola Joel Pahukula made the trek out West in his fancy red Toyota pickup and the season is underway with Ms. Joyce Evens as the voice of the Menehune … even Kori Sakamoto’s parents were in the house as was coach Paul Barba (Kierra also had a strong game coming off the bench).
Coach Sandi even had her JV girls at the Raider game Wednesday. Jim said his new poster features the work of Glenn Ichimura with a nice rendering of some secret Kaua‘i place, and he had it posted for all to admire.
OK, ‘nuff said … gotta start heading out to Princeville for golf.
