As always, the Kaua‘i Museum Ohana Day offers free admission to the Museum along with activities for the whole family.
On April 7, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., award-winning lei makers will demonstrate four methods of lei making.
Featured will be Irmalee Pomroy and Denise Brown-Cremer — Haku (plait), Norma-Jean Brown — Wili (twist), Marina Pascua — Kui (pierce), and Kirby Guyer — Wili (wrap).
A special presentation by Marsha Erickson, Director of Hui O Laka at the Koke`e Natural History Museum, will open the day. She will share plant samples and focus on the Hawaiian view of the forest, including the many kinolau of Laka and other Hawaiian deities.
