HONOLULU— Langtry Estate & Vineyards recorded a 10 percent increase in case sales from 2005 to 2006 with 135,194 cases of its Guenoc brand wine shipped from its production facility located in Lake County, California. Included in the company’s 2006 results was a fourth quarter corporate sales record. Additionally, the first quarter of 2007 is well positioned to set another corporate sales record with a 44 percent increase in sales for the first 60 days of the year when compared to the same period in 2006.
Hawai‘i business person and Chairman of the Board of Langtry Estate & Vineyards Easton Manson said “Cost cutting initiatives in the fourth quarter of 2006 coupled with improved sales results in the same quarter yielded operating profits which had not been achieved since the fiscal year 2000.”
Langtry Estate & Vineyards has broad distribution in the U.S. market with a majority of its sales based in California. Additionally, the Hawai‘i market is also significant to Langtry Estate & Vineyards due to the strength of its local distribution partners M&S Brokerage and Better Brands.
During December and January 2007, Langtry Estate & Vineyards was featured on all east-bound Hawaiian Airline’s flights during the award-winning Hawaiian Skies in-flight video program. This consumer awareness initiative was coupled with an in-store consumer incentive program sponsored by Foodland and Food Pantry. One consumer from O‘ahu, Maui, Kaua‘i and the Big Island was selected in the month of March for a wine country weekend adventure sponsored by Hawaiian Airlines, Foodland and Langtry Estate & Vineyards.
Langtry Estate & Vineyards has extensive vineyard holdings in Lake County and is the oldest and largest winegrower in the region. The picturesque estate consists of 21,000 acres and straddles Lake and Napa counties.
