The public is invited to attend Leadership Training 101, Using Data for Planning Public Health Programs in Cancer Control.
The training will be held April 27, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Kauai Community College -Technology Building Room 114.
This event is the first part of a series of free trainings designed to provide community health program planners with expertise in using the latest information to create effective cancer control programs.
Participants will learn about Hawai‘i’s data resources, and how these resources can be applied towards developing cancer control programs.
Participants will receive practical hands on instruction using data to:
1. Define and validate a cancer control problem
2. Determine leverage points for potential interventions
3. Create a program proposal
