Harriet Leimomi Scharsch Schimmelfennig of Po‘ipu died at Wilcox Hospital on May 11, 2007, at the age of 82.
Born in Kipu on Oct. 17, 1924, she retired from the state of Hawai‘i as an administrator with the District Courts of Honolulu.
Preceded in death by her son Bryan Schimmelfennig of Aina Haina, she is survived by son Edward (Heidi) Schimmelfennig of Po‘ipu, daughter-in-law Beth Schimmelfennig of Aina Haina; six grandchildren, Leimomi, Kala, Nalu, Malia, Gavin and Chaz; one great grandson Ka‘iwa; niece Charlene (Jerry) Punahele; and nephew Kaipo of Hawai‘i Kai.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Friday, May 25, at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Koloa. Mass will be officiated by Father Edison and will begin at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary.
Clyde ‘C.L.’ Sussex
Clyde “C.L.” Lewis Sussex of Princeville, died May 18, 2007, at his home at the age of 88.
Born in Michigan, he is a retired contractor and also a lifetime member of the Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ellen Sussex of Princeville; daughters Gail (Hector) Morales of Florida, Robin (Rick) Wilson-McCarthy of Florida; son Mark (Joene) Sussex of Florida; grandsons Brody Wilson and Chase Wilson.
Memorial services will be at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 20, at the Church of the Pacific in Princeville. The family suggests aloha attire and asks that flowers be omitted.
