Kanoe Perry, the intern at the Speed and Quickness clinics, discovered there are more than youngsters to tend to at the clinics.
She was tending a lost chick that Kenny Estes “rescued” from the field of youth at the Saturday clinic. Kenny joined Jett Jasper, Colt Brennan, Davone Bess and Ryan Grice-Mullen in working with all those youngsters at the football clinic.
Coach George Lumpkin is still trying to figure out how to get all the high school players to these clinics. In the meantime, Kanoe got to check out the Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative membership meeting that opened just about the time the kids’ session ran out.
In the meantime, Lori Bennet, the main lady at Speed and Quickness, could only find a fu man chu clothing shave ice shirt in the van, so she wasn’t going to check out the KIUC meeting. She said the clothing company featuring some unique Oriental designs can be seen at fumanchuclothing.com. The founder of the company was busy doing video of the clinic, but said Tad Miura folks used to sell the line at the M. Miura Store.
Congratulations to Cheryl Ann Farrell for being named the Kaua‘i director for the American Heart Association. She was at the KIUC meeting helping Dave Walker with the home CPR kits. Mary Williamson had an inflatable colon on display and DQ Jackson has some free first aid kits to pass out … and don’t forget the Alzeimer’s Walk coming up in November!
OK, ‘nuff said. Gotta go visit coach George Kuntz and the Team Direct Soccer clinics.
