Waikiki won its third consecutive game, and moved to a league-best 7-3 as the BeachBoys downed the North Shore Honu, 10-6, in the finale of a two-game series yesterday at Waipahu’s Hans L’Orange Park.
Michael Wilson went 3-5 with 3 RBIs including a solo home run in the third inning. Justin Sellers chipped in a triple and 3 RBIs while Josh Womack also tripled and drove in two runs.
Masahiro Nagata doubled and drove in three runs for the Honu (6-4), while teammate Lou Santangelo collected two doubles, and two RBIs.
BeachBoys starter Yutaka Tamaki (1-1) earned the victory despite allowing four runs on seven hits through four innings. Kyohei Muranaka notched his second save of the season after tossing the final three innings of scoreless relief and striking out six Honu hitters.
Waikiki comes back to Hans L’Orange tonight to take on the Honolulu Sharks at 6:30 p.m. The Honu face the West Oahu CaneFires, also at Hans L’Orange, at noon.
