Eleanor Carvalho
Eleanor Leina’ala Carvalho of Kapa‘a died Dec. 6, 2007, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 71.
Born in Lihu‘e on Nov. 3, 1936, she was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband Stanley M. Carvalho; sons Darryl Kaina Carvalho, Duane Kaleo Carvalho, Destry Kalama (Shaylene) Iseri-Carvalho and Dawson Kaili (Trisha) Carvalho, all of Kapa‘a, Mitch (Trisha) Fanning of Reno, Nevada; six grandchildren, La‘akea and DeShayne’e Iseri-Carvalho, Kaison Carvalho and Kainani Inanod, Elijah and Gabriel Fanning; brothers Stanley M. (Espy) Oana Jr. of Hanama‘ulu, Rossiter K. (Vicki) Oana of Vancouver, Wash., sister Flora (John) Ornellas of Anahola; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, at the Lihu‘e First Church in Lihu‘e. Services will begin at 12:30. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Carvalho family with arrangements.
