Tyson Chihara was excited to be able to participate in the presidential caucus. Paula, his mom, said he’s still 17, but will turn 18 before the elections so he was able to vote Tuesday.
Behind him, former state Rep. Ezra Kanoho was waiting in line along with Mia Ako (Gerald was inside the HGEA office) and Jolly Iwata (KIF softball starts soon), whose husband also was waiting at the registration table.
Larry Rivera had to have Gloria help him show off his fancy “All in” flashlight to former Sen. Lehua Fernandez Salling, who was out to vote as well.
Daryl Dobashi was excited after casting his ballot, and John Lydgate was sharing his excitement with the people in line.
Kalani Amdur was waiting in line, as was Sherri Amimoto, and the only thing missing from the ACF Brunch was the grill so Kalani could crank out pancakes.
Out in Kapa‘a, Tom Finnegan was making the best out of the “media outside” clause, and Freckles and Mokihana Smith (mahalo for the parking during the KIF regatta) had the right idea — use the benches.
