The Westside Falcons returned to the North Vidinha fields and picked up four wins, a loss and a tie in six games Saturday.
Playing in the President’s Day Cup last weekend on O‘ahu, the Falcons’ BU12 team was the only team that played at the season-opener for the Kaua‘i Soccer Association.
That BU12 team picked up its second win with a 1-0 edge over the Scrapas while the BU8 Falcons were a 2-0 winner over the Ha‘aheo Boys.
The BU10 Falcons rolled over Team Motiv-8, 10-0 to complete the winning slate.
The Ha‘aheo program split its showing with the Teeny Wahine getting a 5-0 win over the Kapa‘a Blaze Diamond while the boys dropped to the BU8 Falcons.
The pink-shirted Ha‘aheo Kaua‘i suffered a rare 3-2 loss, this time at the hands of Kaona who notched its second straight win.
In the final Under 8 game, the Kapa‘a Blaze Gold swept the Westside Falcons’ GU8, 9-0.
Following the Falcons’ lead in the Under 10 division, Hokulele was a 4-0 winner over Real Waimea and the Kilauea Kilas and the Westside Falcons 9 battled to a 0-0 stalemate.
The KSC-Blazing Angels, also returning from an appearance at the President’s Day Cup, roared onto the scene with a 9-0 win over the Eastside Crew in the Under 12 division.
Hawaiian Heat took a 4-0 win over Hokulele and the orange-shirted GIFC-East was 3-0 better than the Eastside Fusion.
The GIFC-13 suffered its second straight loss, this week dropping to Team Onipa‘a, 3-2 after a loss to Ha‘aheo Kaua‘i last week.
Westside United picked up its second straight win with a 4-0 showing over the Eastside Galaxy. The blueshirts are one of three teams that lead the KSA league with 6 points. The other two teams are Kaona and the Westside Falcons’ BU12.
The Eastside Lightning and GIFC-Cougars battled to a 3-3 stalemate to round out this past weekend’s soccer action.
