Major’s Bay and the Kinikini Special Use Fishing area at the Pacific Missile Range Facility will be closed July 11-16 due to range operations being conducted in support of the Rim of the Pacific, or RIMPAC, exercises.
Access will not be allowed from the main parking lot of Major’s Bay, or the parking area for the special use fishing from Kawaiele Ditch northwards up to the northern-most windsock adjacent to the runway.
PMRF Recreation Pass holders, military active duty, reserve and retirees, and employees with access to PMRF will be able to access the beach from the Shenanigan’s parking lot. Surfing will be limited to the break immediately fronting the base housing area.
