Alice Bryant
Alice Leilani Bryant of Port Hadlock, Wash., died Feb. 4, 2009, at her residence at age 84. Born May 26, 1924, in Hanama‘ulu, she was an LPN.
She was preceded in death by Gerald Bryant Jr.
She is survived by son Nathan Bryant of Washington, daughter Cynthia (Stuart) Groner of Washington, sister Puanani (Clarence) Arruda of Kapa‘a, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Burial of ashes at a later date.
George Walker
George Addison Walker of Anahola died Feb. 28, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 65. Born Feb. 13, 1944, in Honolulu, he was the sole proprietor of Kauai Ohana Homes.
He was preceded in death by parents George Samuel Walker and Evelyn Richman Walker.
He is survived by wife Noel Walker; sons Kevin (Melanie) Walker, Alan (Tracie) Walker, both of Oregon, Joel (Marcia) Walker of New Jersey; daughter Leilani (Ricky) Duarte of Waimea; sister Dianne Siufanua; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation from 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, at the Kapaa Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses; services beginning at 3 p.m.
Inurnment will be private.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Walker family with arrangements.
Patricia Veenkant
Patricia Veenkant of Kaua‘i and Alaska died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009, at age 65. Born Oct. 18, 1943, in Madison, Wisc., she was a massage and acupressure therapist.
She is survived by husband Raymond Veenkant; children Tracy (Sean) Stronger, Danette (Brent) Andrews, Nathan (Michelle) Smith; stepdaughter Anne Veenkant; seven grandchildren; brother William (Patricia) Macy of Florida.
Memorial service at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 9, at Wai‘oli Hui‘ia Church in Hanalei.

Felipe Bigno
Felipe A. Bigno of ‘Ele‘ele died March 2, 2009, at his residence at age 86. Born May 26, 1922, in Makaweli, he was a retired Irrigation supervisor with Olokele Sugar Plantation.
He was preceded in death by parents Dionisio and Columba Bigno, and brother Anatacio Bigno.
He is survived by wife Caroline “Loretta” Bigno; son Raynard Bigno of Idaho; daughters Priscilla (Eddie) Bowen of Dallas, Texas, Myra (Dean) Mayer of ‘Oma‘o, Karen (Wendel) Ishida of Kalaheo; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers Marcelino Bigno and Andy (Della) Bigno both of Los Angeles, Calif., and Victor (Josephine) Bigno of Puhi; and sister Nina Dacay of Puhi.
Visitation from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kalaheo; program and Mass to follow.
The family requests flowers be omitted.
