Elaine McQuaid
Elaine M. McQuaid of Kalaheo died Nov. 4, 2009, at the Regency at Puakea at age 96. Born on Aug. 21, 1913, in Natrona, Pa., she was a registered nurse and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband Millard McQuaid; parents Ervin and Emma Beatty; sisters Erma Ford, Evelyn Stein and Elizabeth King; brothers Ervin and Edward Beatty.
She is survived by her daughter Coleen (Brian) Kasperek, son Millard (Susan) McQuaid and two grandsons.
Service at 9 a.m., on Friday, Nov. 27, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary.
Yoneko Morioka
Yoneko Morioka of ‘Ele‘ele died Nov. 11, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 78. Born on Sept. 10, 1931, in Hiroshima, Japan, she was a retired housekeeper with Wilcox Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband Isao Morioka; sisters Mieko Nakamura and Misao Shiwamura; brothers Masayuki Furumido and Yukio Furumido.
She is survived by her daughters Shelley (William) Siegman of O‘ahu and Doris (Charles) Fulks of Lihu‘e; two grandchildren; brother Masateru Furumido of Japan; sisters Sueko Simohara, Shizue Takiyama and Chiyoko Yamasaki all of Japan; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services were private.

Edorable Manansala Sr.
Edorable Lagadon Manansala Sr. of Hanama‘ulu died Nov. 12, 2009, at Straub Clinic and Hospital in O‘ahu at age 78. Born on Oct. 26, 1931, in Pasuquin Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he retired from Lihu‘e Sugar Plantation as a haul cane truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents Salvacion Lagadon and Melicio Manansala and brother Leocardio Manansala of the Philippines.
He is survived by his wife Josephine Manansala; daughters Della Simmons of Alaska, Trisa (Michael) Stubbs of Texas, Diana (Peter) Hirsch of Texas and Tanya Oligo (Kevin Doty) of Colorado; son Edorable (Susan) Manansala Jr. of Hanama‘ulu; sisters Rose (Ray) Ramos of Waipahu and Annie (Ernest) Pabustan of Kapa‘a; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, numerous nieces nephews and cousins.
Visitation from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m., Mass at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Nov. 21, at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens.
Casual attire is suggested.
