LIHU‘E — Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. will present his State of the County address on Friday, a county news release states.
The event will be held at 11 am at the Lihu‘e Civic Center in the Mo‘ikeha Building courtyard. If it should rain, the event will take place in the atrium of the Pi‘ikoi Building.
During the presentation, the mayor will provide an overview of his fiscal year 2011 budget submittal.
Those who are unable to attend the event will be able to watch the mayor’s address live via streaming media on www.hawaiistream.com.
In addition, several local radio stations will be running the address live from the Hawai‘i Stream website, including: Island 98.9; Jamz 98.1; KONG AM 570; and Rooster Country 99.9.
The presentation will also be aired on Ho‘ike, channel 53, for a week following the event, beginning March 22.
Anyone requiring an American Sign Language interpreter, materials in an alternate format, or an auxiliary aid to view the mayor’s address is asked to contact the mayor’s office at least three days prior to the event by phone, 241-4900, or via email: btokioka@kauai.gov.
