It all comes down to this. After 10 years as the masterminds of the Halo franchise, Bungie is moving on. The Halo brand will be carried on by Microsoft Game Studio, but for the creators of master chief and the covenant war, Halo Reach is the end of the road for them.
Halo Reach is more than just a prequel to the main trilogy, it’s also a combination of a decade of design work bringing in the best elements of past games to Bungie’s final halo game.
This is a first-person shooter for the Xbox 360 console. It was released Sept. 14, 2010.
The visual effects on this game are beautiful, the sounds are amazing and even the soundtrack makes this gaming experience great. You can tell Bungie has poured its entire heart into its final Halo game.
And what I like most about this Halo game is that now you are actually part of a six-member squad. Most times you’re with a member from the team, but rarely all six are together. Makes me wish that they stuck together more.
There are times it feels like you’re just doing the same things, but overall, I really enjoyed the single-player campaign mode.
What seems to be the biggest draw to the Halo franchise is its great mutiplayer. What I dont like about this is it takes way too many bullets to take out an enemy, and it’s not really based on aiming. You can actually just run and gun people down. It takes getting used to if you’re not familiar with the Halo online experience, but once you get the right feel for it, its a fun experience that will keep you playing for months.
I give it 9 out of 10 stars.
