PUHI — There are a few slots available in the mornings, said Nora Akiona of the Blood Bank of Hawai‘i, Monday, at Kaua‘i Community College.
“We’re here Tuesday and Wednesday at the Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall, but the afternoons are booked solid,” Akiona said.
“We have time slots in the morning, but anything past 1 p.m. on both days are booked. The best way for people wanting to contribute to the Blood Bank of Hawai‘i is to call (808) 845-9966.”
John Constantino of the KCC Student Services office said the Hawai‘i Blood Bank’s drive was booked solid Monday, taking advantage of the morning lull to do his part in the blood drive.
“We have a whole bunch of people signed up at KCC, but I heard there were spots for the Tuesday and Wednesday drives,” Constantino said. “People who want to can visit the convention hall.”
Akiona said the blood drive continues from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. today and from 7 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Wednesday.
