LIHU‘E — Hardy Street, between Akahi Street and Kuhio Highway, is scheduled to be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, a county news release states.
The closure will allow the Department of Water’s contractor, BCP Construction of Hawai‘i, to install a new detector check and backflow preventer that will be incorporated into a new waterline.
Motorists are advised to observe all construction signs and control signal devises, and to use caution while driving through the construction areas. Motorists should also allow extra traveling time when going through the area
