KALAHEO — The White Rabbit might be late, but people who want to take in the latest production by Kalaheo Elementary School students should not be.
The students welcome the public to its “Alice in Wonderland Jr.” production Friday and Saturday, as well as May 4 and 5, starting at 7 p.m. at the school’s cafeteria-turned-theater.
Tickets are now available at the school for any of the show dates and are expected to be at the door prior to the show, but to ensure seating, advance purchases are suggested.
Admission is $5 for adults and $1 for children under 12. Donations are also welcomed Additionally, if a child brings a can of food to be donated to the Kaua‘i Independent Food Bank, the child is admitted free.
People are admitted on a first-come, first-serve basis so, unlike the White Rabbit, people cannot be late. The Kalaheo School production is a family-friendly, fast-paced adaptation of the 1951 Disney film “Alice in Wonderland” and the novels, “The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland” and “Through the Looking Glass” by Lewis Carroll.
This is Kalaheo Elementary School’s ninth season of musical theater.
