LIHU‘E — Patrons of the Tip Top Café and Katsu Sushi will be happy to know their doors are now open following a brief renovation.
Tip Top Café Manager Jonathan Ota said the building was due for renovations and they timed it to occur when the owners of Katsu Sushi took a vacation. The work started on May 19 and they reopened on Saturday. The adjoining hotel remained open during the work.
The work involved cleaning, painting, a few replacement parts here and there and some minor repairs to the dining room. There were more extensive renovations to the kitchen, Ota said.
The restaurant functions as Tip Top Café for breakfast and lunch from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and as Katsu Sushi for dinner from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Tip Top Café is located at 3173 Akahi Street in Lihue. Call 245-2333.
