The Koloa Early School will host its fundraising Spring Soaker ‘Ohana Day Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Anne Knudsen Park, more commonly known as the Koloa Ballpark.
Multiple waterslides, a large bounce house, a craft tent, food booths, a silent auction and a lucky drawing will highlight the day, which will have a $15 admission charge for children ages 3 to 18. Admission allows full use of the slides and bounce house for four hours.
Children under 2 and adults over 18 are admitted free.
Lucky drawing tickets will be available for $5 and can be obtained at the the school, through any parent, or at the event. Prizes include gift certificates, clothing, food and art with the drawing to take place at the park. Winners do not need to be present to earn their prizes.
Silent auction premiums include accomodation certificates from Kaua‘i’s world-class resorts, spa treatments, boat trips, jewelry, complimentary registration for the 2012 Kaua‘i Marathon and more.
“With the community’s support, we want to reach our goal of $15,000,” said Robin Jumper in a release. “Koloa Early School is located in the heart of Old Koloa Town and has been teaching Kaua‘i’s youth for more than 20 years.”
Koloa Early School is a nonprofit organization which depends on grants and fundraising events to continue to inspire and educate the youth of Kaua‘i.
Proceeds from the Spring Soaker ‘Ohana Day go toward funding the school’s education programs, capital and operational expenses as well as tuition assistance.
