Shutters Lounge, located inside of Kaua‘i Beach Resort, is a relaxing atmosphere filled with live music, delicious entrees and refreshing tropical cocktails.
“We try to keep Shutters the gathering spot of the hotel,” said Tracy Ford, resort manager of Kaua‘i Beach Resort. “We’ve really been successful with it because our menu here is really based on any selection we have here at the hotel. That includes the wonderful number of cocktails we serve.”
Ford selected four drinks for this week’s selection of drinks: the Passion Puree, Kaua‘ i Beach Blue Hawai‘i Special, Shutters Lounge Cooler and the Coconut Cooler. All these cocktails are priced at $12 each.
Passion Puree
The passion puree is a perfect blend of champagne, passion fruit and Peach Schnapps.
This champagne based drink really sets the mood of the atmosphere at the lounge. It is a light drink with a kick of Peach Schnapps that will hit you unexpectedly.
Kaua‘i Beach Blue Hawai‘i Special
This blue blend of goodness consists of coconut vodka, blue curacao, banana and a wave of creamy coconut and pineapple juice.
Shutter’s Lounge Cooler
Cranberry citrus coolers are combined with Grand Marnier and vodka. It is then garnished with a slice of pineapple and served chilled.
Coconut Cooler
The coconut cooler consists of coconut vodka, coconut water, fresh citrus sour, served on the rocks and sprinkled with toasted coconut bits.
All of these delicious tropical cocktails are worth trying for yourself. It was especially a treat to enjoy these cocktails while listening to the music of Darryl Gonzales.
